General Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a ticket, holding ownership of a given ticket, or attending the event,
you have read, understood, and agreed to the following all terms and conditions

Unplugged Expo X Cosplay Matsuri and its staff will not be held legally responsible for any damages, misconduct, injuries or death that resulted from the accidental and/or voluntary actions of any attendee.

The Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time. It is the attendee’s responsibility to read any updates on this document.

Conduct

All of our attendees are expected to conduct and hold themselves in a manner that is both honorable, and respectable.

All attendees must follow all Federal, Provincial and local laws and regulations.

Please be respectful and mindful of other scheduled events that may be taking place at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC).

Unless informed in written or digital format by Unplugged Expo X Cosplay Matsuri Staff, sales and solicitation are prohibited for attendees. Attendee may not use the convention’s or event facility’s equipment unless approved and supervised by an event staff.

Cosplay is permitted during the event as long as the cosplay adheres to the UXCM’s Terms and Conditions, applicable government laws, and rules of the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.

Any inappropriate behavior by any attendee will not be tolerated by event staff and any attendee may be asked to leave the event due to any forms of misconduct.

Weapons & Props

No actual weapons are permitted at the event site. If a weapon is identified by the event staff, the attendee will not be allowed to enter the facility. Any prop may be subject to inspections by event staff.

No working laser pointers are permitted at Unplugged Expo X Cosplay Matsuri. If an attendee is caught by an event staff with at least one working laser pointer, the attendee will be asked to store the laser pointer outside of the venue. Failure to comply may result in confiscation of the item(s).

Media

Photography and filming are permitted at the event with the understanding that the organizer may use said photos/video in their promotional activities in future events. Please be advised that, although photography and filming will take place throughout the event, photographers and videographers must ask attendees for permission to be captured in a photo or video.

We will strongly enforce the “cosplay is not consent” rule. If an attendee fails to comply with this rule, the attendee will be asked to leave the event and the necessary administrative and/or legal actions will take place.

Permission for photography and filming during panels, workshops, and other programming will be determined by the host of the scheduled session.

Transaction(s) with Vendor/Exhibitor/Artist

Any transaction that occurs between an attendee and Vendor/Exhibitor/Artist is the responsibility of the attendee and Vendor/Exhibitor/Artist in question. The event and facility staff will not be responsible for any transaction outcome and legal consequences.
